Build your own bands

Build your own dog belly bands!

To see fabric choices, click the drop-down list for "Fabric Choice" above and a large image for each fabric will appear in the images as you click through them.

This listing is for one (1) single band, custom made by you!  You can make it a regular belly band, a strap band, or an extra-wide band, the choice is yours!  Please see our other listings so you have a clear idea of the difference between all three.

Build-your-own-bands are fully custom made and are NOT returnable, so please measure carefully!

What LENGTH do you need?  Measure his waist around the WIDEST part where the belly band will be worn.  If his waist measures 13" around without overlapping the tape measure, you do NOT want just a 13" length band.  You need to add a few inches for the velcro overlap.  You need to decide exactly how much overlap you need based on your velcro choices - single/double/ velcro and the velcro placement.  Our velcro is pre-cut into 2" x 3" pieces.

How WIDE do you want the band to be?  stand your dog up, and measure the length between his front legs and back legs.  Choose how wide you want the band to be.

What length do you want the neck strap?  IF you are choosing a neck strap, we recommend measuring the distance from where you want the band to start 9based on your width measurement above, measure around his chest/neck, and back around to where the band will be around him.  or, you can estimate by measuring his neck all the way around and add 10".  You would rather the strap be too long than too short, because it can be adjusted.  Tip:  If the strap is too long, you can cut it down and melt the end with a lighter or match to keep it from fraying.

Double or Single Velcro?  Single velcro means there will be one single piece of velcro centered at each end of the band.  If you choose double velcro, there will be 2 pieces of velcro centered on each end of the band.  All velcro is pre-cut, 3" x 2".  Double velcro (length wise) is ONLY available on bands 5" or wider.  If you choose double velcro length-wise on bands less than 5", you will receive single velcro and will be refunded the difference.  We highly recommend Double Velcro - LENGTHWISE for bands wider than 6".

Velcro length-wise or width-wise?  You can choose if you want the velcro to be length-wise or width-wise.  Please note that this may change the way the band fits your dog.  We highly recommend Double Velcro - LENGTHWISE for bands wider than 6".

Ordering a strap?  See the photo above for strap and buckle options.  You have 3 to choose from.

    Well constructed belly band

As long as your measurements are correct, you and your dog will be very pleased with the quality of the belly bands. They last for at least a few years with regular use and laundering.

    My dog loves it!

Beautifully made and so easy to put on. The hardest part was picking out which fabric design to use. The Belly Band was much easier to use than doggie diapers, the coverage is great and my boy is so much more comfortable wearing it. Thanks!
